Familie am Tisch

Additions and family

You can increase your cover and include your family members and partner in the policy.

With just a single health questionnaire for “CareFlex Chemie Aufstockung”, new employees can top up their insurance cover within a two-month period. This option remains available afterwards, of course, but will then require a standard medical assessment. Get advice!

Your spouse and partner, as well as your children, parents and parents-in-law, can apply for this cover – with no age limit. The plan is called “CareFlex Chemie Familie”.

You should take out insurance for your children, as the premiums are low and remain low if they end up in a care home – for the rest of their lives.

Care cover letter for IGBCE members

Your benefit as a member: The care insurance policy is a service provided by the IGBCE Bonus Agency.

During consultations regarding the CareFlex Chemie supplementary care insurance scheme, IGBCE members receive the IGBCE Bonusagentur care cover letter, worth €300, which entitles them to practical assistance and personalised support should they ever require care.

If care is required and an application has already been submitted, it may take some time for the decision from the MDK or Medicproof to reach the person in need of care. During this period, IGBCE members can already benefit from services from the Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe e. V. service catalogue, tailored to their individual needs: for example, for the use of services such as

  • Dementia advice
  • Home adaptation advice to accommodate care needs
  • Personal care services
  • Care training for relatives
  • Meal service
  • Transport services (to doctors and government offices)

Strong partners - an insurance consortium

The consortium partners of the collective bargaining parties IGBCE and BAVC are well-known insurers. R+V Krankenversicherung AG and Barmenia Krankenversicherung AG are the product providers and stand for security, excellent benefits and good service. A care advisory board supports the consortium and ensures that the collective bargaining parties have oversight rights.

The IGBCE Bonus Agency developed the care provision scheme in collaboration with Henkel and successfully launched it. With the support of its partners, it coordinates the implementation of the scheme within the eligible companies.
