CareFlex Chemie is the first collective supplementary care insurance scheme in Germany which, as part of the social partnership between IGBCE and the BAVC, provides employees with collective cover against the risk of needing care via their employer, without the need for a medical assessment.
As an initial benefit, employees receive a freely available monthly care allowance for home and residential care. For home care, €300 per month is provided for care levels 2 to 4. Residential care is supported with €1,000 per month for care levels 2 to 5.
The supplementary care insurance is funded entirely by the employer. Regardless of the employees’ income, the employer pays €33.65 per month.
CareFlex Chemie supplements the benefits provided by statutory long-term care insurance. If necessary, employees have the option of supplementing their basic cover and closing any gaps in their cover.
The employer can also enrol non-tariff employees and senior staff collectively under the group policy.
